Paquette has no kill switch, no sense of timing and perspective. The Lightning could be tied with a minute left in the third period, or down by five goals, and Paquette will unapologetically barrel into a player without the puck and commit interference.
This seems a bit excessive. |

For 1.6 a year - 13 goals and being a menace out there is probably fair value - |

He’s one of the only likeable players on the team though. It still pays to have grit. So you pay grit under 2m, Simple |

1.6 mill for a 4th liner seems pretty reasonable IMO. |

He is a agitator who can score a few goals, being an agitator he takes penalties. At 1.6m it is a fair deal for a fourth line center who can put in 10+ goals. I think your over reacting to the penalties he gets. |

Good value fair deal pointless article |

Fair value all around. Why the hate? 13 goals for him for a 4th liner at 1.6 million is more than decent. Also you failed to know how many penalties he draws and value on special teams |

This article sounded more like a personal vendetta than an analysis.
1.6 in today’s nhl for what he brings is pretty reasonable |

If I didn’t watch hockey last year, judging by the tone of this blog, it’s as if y’all missed the playoffs and we’re terrible? Lol. Last i checked, that’s good value for a 13g 4th liner. |

I like you Sam, but can't get on-board with this take.
Paquette is a dumptruck out there. And yeah he does do some stupid crap from time to time... but ah well, he's an agitator. You take the good with the bad.
I award you zero points. |

Geeze Sam, I wish you would get off the fence about Paquette! It’s hard to tell if you love him or hate him. Make is REALLY hard to figure out whether I should get a Paquette jersey for Christmas or not… |

What a moronic blog. How anybody could watch what Columbus did to us in the playoffs and say you don’t need grit is either just blind or stupid. |

Paquette's contract is not the worst. As a player, he does his job when he's healthy. When he's hurt, we have plenty of depth to call up and cover him. I like having one agitator type on the team, as long as it's clean and not Marchand-like nonsense. Paquette is pissy, but he doesn't try to hurt people. He's defensively responsible. Good at faceoffs. Picks up a goal or two every now and then. He is what he is, and that's fine with his contract and playing time. I wouldn't want him in my top-6. |

The lightning (frank)i? Themselves over. Think they can play run n gun all the time. Forget about the defensive end. Would be completely awesome if Kucherov could play defense like he does for Russia at the worlds. Stamkos, our captain, just doesn’t play in his own end. I got three words for ya...WTF!!! |

When a team has a roster packed with elite talent and superb depth, and it can't win playoff games or championships, then the blame lies solely in one area : coaching.
